Why "Sealed Edges" are important
 

Only the surface of a publication is protected when it is only laminated.
 

To prevent the corners and edges of a publication from becoming separated and destroyed...

and to prevent moisture and liquids from wicking into the publication and destroying it, the edges of the lamination must be permanently sealed.
